Deaf Services Admission Criteria
- Deaf men aged between 18 and 65 years at date of placement
- All secure placements will require detention under the Mental Health Act 1983
- Informal patients are accepted for placement on open services
- Mental illness, personality disorder, learning disability or autistic spectrum disorders
- Substance misuse problems
- Multiple complex needs, including visual and physical disability
- Behaviour that challenges services and community living
- Deaf men with a significant cognitive impairment
- Step down in Security
